El Caprichito Hotel

Check-in was self-service and went smoothly, and the staff were especially kind. They helped me work out the right transport for the places I wanted to visit. The rooms were clean and tidy, with everything I needed, including a hairdryer, shampoo, gel, towels, and AC. The bed and pillows were comfortable too. It's a great-value base for exploring Marbella, about a five-minute walk from the beach and close to the old town. Great hotel, perfect location.

Weeks after I'd booked one night, they told me I had to stay at least two nights or cancel. There was no two-night minimum when I made the reservation, so changing the rule afterward felt deeply unprofessional. They should honor bookings they've already confirmed, instead of leaving guests to find another hotel. If you need to know your reservation will still be honored when you arrive, I'd avoid this property.

The hotel is so well placed, near both the ocean and the old town, and we enjoyed our stay. The little rooms were lovely and very clean, and the staff were extremely friendly. There's also a rooftop terrace with a really nice view.

The location is great and quiet. The only drawback was a small check-in inconvenience. The room was tidy, with a nice bathroom and shower. The walls are thin, so depending on your room or floor, you may hear people walking along the hall or coming in and out of the hotel.
