The views are worth taking in, and the course itself was in superb condition, with the greens running around 9.5 on the stimpmeter. My sister-in-law and I are professionals, and we both really enjoyed the challenge. It’s a brilliant layout, the course is set up well, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had a great day and will definitely return.

I played at the end of January, after all the rain across CDS, and the course was semi-dry and wet in places. Greens and tees were in very good shape. Some small sections of three or four fairways, along with bits of rough, had been ploughed up by wild boars. It’s a challenging layout, comparable to Chapparal and not suited to beginners. A few holes are quite hilly, and one has a hidden green.

Very picturesque, with green, wide fairways and plenty of trees. The staff were friendly, and teenagers get discounts. Parking was a bit difficult.

Fantastic course, and the staff were excellent. I had a terrible round yesterday, then tied my best ever today. There was some speculation about theft, but everyone I dealt with was completely above board. Pace was okay: I played two rounds, and the first had a 15-minute wait at the 15th tee. It seems they generally sorted that issue out. There’s no driving range, just nets to warm up in. The cart girl takes cash only, though you can hand over your ID and pay at the bar. Phenomenal golf course, highly recommend it.

The course was great, which would have put my rating at 8.5/10, but the tee boxes hadn’t been cut. Maybe I just played at a bad time after all that rain.
