We went for a meal on Sunday, January 18, 2026, and the restaurant was packed with families. The children were screaming, so it was pretty noisy. My entrecote was okay, but it came with just fries and no garnish. It cost €15.50. Maybe presentation is not included at that price? Better food styling can make a meal much more appealing. It’s a cheap place to eat in Marbella, so if you just want to fill up and don’t mind the presentation, I’d recommend it.

Antonio was a kind host and always around to help us get acquainted with the historic old city centre. We all enjoyed staying at El Gallo. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable, and lunch at the El Gallo restaurant was excellent, both the food and the service. We hope to visit Marbella again and stay at El Gallo when we do.

Antonio, the manager, was super accommodating. El Gallo is tucked down a little street in the old city, and it’s quiet, picturesque, clean and really comfortable. Such a find! 👏🏻

We had a delicious dinner at Hostal El Gallo in Marbella’s old town. It’s tucked along a quiet side street, a real hidden gem. The girls wanted grilled chicken and rice, and the menu came through. We began with gambas pil pil and grilled aubergine, both packed with flavor. For the mains, we had grilled meat and calamari with vegetables, all cooked beautifully, plus a lovely rosé. The quality was great for such reasonable prices. Highly recommend for good food and value in Marbella!
