The apartment was clean and nicely renovated inside, and getting to the beach took about 6-8 minutes. Marbella Old Town was around 15-20 minutes away. The interior is modern and matches the photos, but the building looks dated and didn’t feel worth the nightly price, even by Marbella standards. Construction in the neighboring apartment was going on during our four-night stay, which made it hard to enjoy the space comfortably. The bed and pillows were much too firm for us, though that may suit other people. Check-in also involved signing separate documents and uploading ID to a third-party website. Some of those conditions, including the checkout time, differed from what Airbnb stated, so the process could have been clearer and handled through Airbnb. The value felt low overall. I’m posting this warning through Google Maps because the owner of the Airbnb in this building never left me a review. I asked the property for even a partial refund after explaining that I had to cancel two days before check-in because of a death in my immediate family, and offered proof. They refused and didn’t even refund the cleaning fee. Heartless, unprofessional, disappointing. This is what business insurance is for.

The only snag was the broken washer, but the owner called someone to fix it. We had a comfortable, nicely sized place for our family, traveling with my mother, my hubby, and our one-year-old. There’s a baby pool and a larger pool, plus wild turtles in a pond with a waterfall.

A good pool and a quiet little oasis right in the centre of town, handy for taxis, shops and the beach. The modern apartment is about 100 metres from the beach in the middle of Marbella. It has air con, a contemporary feel, and all the TV channels you’d want.

I had to cancel two days before check-in because someone in my immediate family died. I told the property why, offered proof, and pleaded for even a partial refund. They wouldn’t budge and didn’t even offer back the apartment cleaning fee. Heartless, unprofessional and disappointing. This is what business insurance is for.
