The rooms, breakfast, and location were all excellent, and the hotel was spotless and very well run. It’s a distinctive, welcoming boutique hotel in Marbella’s old town. Miss Anna at reception and concierge was especially helpful. I’d happily recommend staying here, and I plan to come back.

The renovation brings modern comforts into a historic building, and the staff were attentive and wonderful throughout our stay. La Fonda Heritage Hotel is right in the old center, with the marina and beach about a 15-minute walk away. It began as a 16th-century private residence, later served as a hotel for Aristocrats in the 1960s, and reopened in 2023 after extensive preservation and renovation of abandoned ruins. A fantastic find.

We spent part of our honeymoon at La Fonda, and it couldn’t have felt more special. The design is luxurious and carefully thought out, yet still welcoming, and the attention to detail and personal service were outstanding. We’re already looking forward to coming back. The concierge is available 24/7 by message for things like restaurant bookings and tailored activity ideas, which made everything easy. The restaurant was fantastic, and breakfast was a highlight each morning. It’s right in the heart of Old Town, with restaurants and bars an easy walk away and the beach about 10 minutes on foot. One of the most stunning hotels I’ve stayed in.

I was in Marbella for a wedding, so I didn’t try the food this time. I’m already hoping to return and sample the hotel’s gastronomy. The courtyard’s cluster of trees was a lovely sight from my room, and added to the charm of this peaceful boutique haven in Old Town Marbella.
