Marbella Art Suites Boutique Hotel

We loved our stay as two families traveling with a child. The mountain setting is beautiful, with an amazing view of the sea, and the rooms were roomy and comfortable. The homemade food was delicious. This doesn’t feel like a standard hotel. It’s more like visiting friends who have spent their lives gathering art, rare books, posters, and design pieces. There’s so much to look at inside, and every corner seems to have its own story. Thanks to the hosts for being so warm, attentive, and caring. We all had a lovely time and would love to come back.

The stay was really enjoyable and the place is very quirky. The food was lovely, though there was a bit of a breakdown in communication when ordering it. The toilets were an issue because of a smell, and the owners explained the situation. Would I stay again? Probably not. It was too much sensory overload for me personally, though I can see it being great for people visiting for the first time.

We left Marbella Art Boutique Hotel extremely disappointed after staying there in September 2025. The art is striking, and our room was spacious, cozy, and pleasant, with a good shower. Beyond that, the stay was a nightmare. There were cats and dogs all over the property, which hadn’t been mentioned when we booked. I’m pregnant and allergic, so that raised a serious health concern. The pool was dirty, the restaurant food was inedible, and we were mistakenly charged twice. Breakfast was included in our booking, but the hotel refused to provide it until it was too late. Staff spoke very little English, were rude and dismissive, and wouldn’t take responsibility for anything. This was by far our worst hotel experience. It absolutely wasn’t five-star quality, and I’d avoid it.

The hotel’s art is beautiful and the view is nice, but this was advertised as a five-star hotel and it’s nowhere near that. The pool was dirty, and although the owner calls the place a “restaurant,” you really shouldn’t eat there. There are cats and dogs everywhere, which is a problem if you have allergies. They don’t speak English. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, and I hope this helps someone avoid a bad stay.
