Aparthotel Monarque Sultán

The Aparthotel Monarque Sultán was perfect, and I'd definitely book it again. We stayed three nights in October, and it was one of the nicest, cleanest places we've ever been. The rooms were huge, comfortable, and had a big balcony. Everything was beautiful, spacious, and clean, and the amenities had all we needed. Very professional, and deserving of five stars.

The location worked well, close to the promenade and grocery shops, with the old town nearby. The staff were 10 out of 10: I spoke with three gentlemen at reception, all friendly and helpful, and the women who cleaned the rooms did a great job. The washing machine worked, which was one reason we chose the hotel, and everything else was functioning too. But the furniture, bedding, walls, and other structures are worn and need replacing or renovating, and soundproofing is very poor. The spa was a little disappointing: the jacuzzi costs 5 euros, the sauna is 7 euros and separated for men and women, and the pool is free but requires everyone, including men, to wear a swimming cap. The owners really should invest more in refurbishing the rooms.

Ismael at the front desk was great, really hospitable. He helped me find the gym and talked me through the amenities. I'd go back.

The staff were kind and helpful, the service was great, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The spa was nice too. I came for the 70.3 Ironman Marbella Word Championship and felt so welcome that we came back after another trip. A great experience, 10/10. Thanks so much for everything, I'd definitely recommend this place.
