Weeks before our friends' wedding, they cancelled the large number of apartments my friends and I had booked. We'd made the reservation about six months earlier, but they said they weren't accepting bookings for fewer than seven days anymore and wouldn't honour ours. Terrible service. It completely derailed our trip.
The service there was very good, and it's a really nice place.
It was quiet and relaxed, and very clean with lots of space. The pool was lovely. At night it felt a bit secluded and slightly unsafe because there was no reception. There isn't a shop for basics like water or ice either, so we had to walk 15 minutes to buy everything. Still, it's great value for money and I'd stay again.
The location is nice, within walking distance of PB and right by Mistral beach, but the building is rather old. The apartments are spacious, though they don't feel luxurious: there's only basic furniture inside and out, with hardly any decoration. Pool hours are 11:30 to 19:30, which is ridiculous when we're at the beach then. There were only about eight chairs around the pool, and the rest were broken.
We had a penthouse with a large amount of space and a sun terrace, plus all the amenities we needed in the apartment. The surrounding gardens were lovely, and there were both indoor and outdoor pools as well as an onsite spa. Security staff were great, and communication with the owners was good. Mistral beach is just a few minutes' walk away, with nice places to eat and drink at reasonable prices. Puerto banus strip, with its bars, clubs and so on, is a short taxi ride away. A very friendly place and area, and I can't fault it.
