Being close to the sea is a major plus. The building needs updating, though, and there’s water damage inside the walls along the main corridor, with a damp smell.

We had a really great time at Playa Romana. It’s a peaceful, welcoming place, and the beach was clean and not too crowded. The water was clear, clean, and a lovely temperature for swimming, while the soft sand was nice for bare feet and making sandcastles with the kids. I’m Asian and always look for shade, so the palm trees were especially handy when the sun got strong. Nearby cafés and restaurants have cold drinks, snacks, and full meals, and the people were friendly. Whether you’re swimming, sunbathing, or just listening to the waves, it’s a great spot for a relaxed day by the sea. I’d recommend it for families, couples, or anyone after a quiet beach day.

I was there in the first week of November and the weather was still good. The studio was nice, the beach was nice too, and Elvira has plenty of places to eat.

From the balcony, the views are breathtaking, and the pools are really clean. The rooms are relatively well looked after, and the beach is just a two-minute walk away, which makes this a great holiday destination. There’s no café or bar where you can sit and have a drink, and there isn’t a proper gym, but that shouldn’t be a problem. I’d recommend staying here for a holiday.

We’ve spent a week here in each of the last two summers, looking for quiet time between the beach and pools, and it’s been a really nice family holiday. Romana Playa has three pools in different areas, all clean and pleasant. The residence also has direct access to one of the best beaches in the Marbella area. There’s free parking inside, though it can sometimes be full and you have to park outside, which is safe. Ainara was our PoC both years, and she was amazing, always available with guidance and advice. I’d definitely recommend it.
