The Monkey Room

We didn’t stay even one night because the place was so terrible. They promised a full refund, but we still haven’t got the money back. They stopped answering my messages, so now I have to contact a lawyer.

The location is great and the price is cheap, which were the only upsides. The bed creaks whenever you move, and the walls are so thin you can hear everything in the hallway and next door. The sink is tiny, the lighting is poor, and the bathroom fan barely works.

I spent two weeks there and had a good time. The staff were really friendly and helpful, my room had everything I needed, and the location was great.

The staff were great, but I wouldn’t stay here again. I went with my 10-year-old, and after spending the night in that room I still feel sick. The mold smelled awful and made it hard to breathe and sleep. There was mold all over the floorboards, the toilet was loose and shook when you sat on it, and the towels and sheets were damp. The first-floor rooms were dark and moldy. I don’t know what the other rooms are like, but this one shouldn’t be rented out with a health hazard like that. It felt very irresponsible. As another reviewer mentioned, they cancelled the Booking.com reservation, so I can’t leave a review there either. The room itself was okay apart from the mold, but it just wasn’t worth it.
