The Pearl - Marbella B&B

It’s a quiet, nice-looking place, especially if you’re into influencer-style spots. But it’s a long way from everything. I was really let down by the lack of service. Our shower gel ran out on day two, and there was nobody around to top it up. We messaged about it and got no response. During our three-night stay, we never saw anyone.

Jonathan, the manager, was welcoming and attentive, and clearly wanted us to feel comfortable throughout our stay at The Pearl B&B in Marbella. The service and hospitality were excellent. My room was beautiful, with carefully chosen furniture and finishes. Everything felt considered and stylish, yet relaxed rather than showy, and it was all well maintained. I’d gladly come back, and would recommend it to anyone after a small boutique stay with personal service and attention to detail.

My wife and I loved our few days at The Pearl and will definitely return. We could open the doors from our lovely room straight onto the pool, then have coffee outside in the morning. Breakfast was wonderful too. Jonathan and the rest of the staff were lovely. We enjoyed a bottle of wine and olives by the pool from the honesty bar, and walked to the beach for cocktails at the beach club. Such a great place.

We booked The Pearl through a booking app in good faith, then cancelled a few minutes later. The terms and conditions led us to expect a refund, but after about two weeks the money still hadn’t arrived, so we called The Pearl. The person we spoke to said it had been an oversight, apologised, and promised the refund within two days. Since then, they haven’t answered our calls. We still haven’t received the 810 euros. Please be warned. I could only post this after giving it one star.
