Beautiful apartment in Vasari Puerto Banus

I managed only 3 hours of sleep, so this place wasn’t for me. The apartments have such poor sound insulation that you can hear your neighbours’ conversations, and my block was beside a garbage collection station. The noise there started at 6am. Apart from that, it’s an ideal place. If noise doesn’t bother you, you’ll have a great stay 😊

The apartments are huge and it’s a fab complex, a fantastic place to stay. The only snag was that the pool bar was closed while we were there. It was a bit inconvenient, but we made it work.

What made the stay bearable was the reception staff and the location. The rest was a joke, especially for what they charge in shoulder season. Our room was shabby and smelled awful, somewhere between old smoke and mould. The kitchen utensils hadn’t been cleaned properly, and there wasn’t a tea towel. The old, stained furniture looked like it came from an open shop, and everything needs updating. I didn’t feel comfortable touching any of the surfaces. The restaurant, bar and all food and drink options were closed for the year, and nobody mentioned that when we booked. We’d planned to walk to a show at the arena, but the back gates were shut for the weekend, so we had to get a taxi. We just wanted to move on and enjoy the show, so we didn’t complain. We left feedback when we checked out.

The grounds are great, and it’s only a 5-minute walk to Puerto Banus. The apartments are starting to show their age a little, though the finishes are high quality throughout. The duplex penthouses remain very impressive, especially the master suite and its terraces.
