Westin La Quinta Golf Resort & Spa

The rooms were very spacious and had great views. My father and I stayed for a quick three-day trip in September 2025. We didn’t play golf, though the course looked to be in great shape. The pool and the area around it were very well maintained. Breakfast had lots of options, generous serving hours, and was substantial. I’d recommend having a rental car, since it makes getting around the area much easier.

We spent our wedding night at The Westin La Quinta Golf Resort & Spa, and our room was fantastic, spacious, and had panoramic views of the sea and the entire complex. The Sunsa Restaurant and the Clubhouse Restaurant & Bar both served exquisite food, with a highly professional team. Breakfast was another highlight. We made good use of the main pool and the spa, which was bigger than we expected and had a wide range of facilities and services. We were surprised to find a private pool too, which we got to enjoy just the two of us. It was a perfect start to married life. The hotel is sophisticated and beautifully decorated, with an elegant feel. Everything was immaculately clean, the atmosphere was superb, and the peace and quiet were exceptional. The staff were incredibly friendly. We can’t thank the team enough for making our stay special. Wedding or no wedding, we’d happily return and recommend it to anyone looking for elegant accommodation in peaceful surroundings on the Costa del Sol.

The setting in the hills is breathtaking, with picturesque views that golf lovers in particular will appreciate. The course is immaculate and well designed, suitable for experienced players as well as a leisurely round. There’s also a complimentary shuttle to and from the city centre. At The Westin La Quinta Golf Resort in Marbella, staff were polite and attentive from the moment I arrived, and kept that warm welcome going throughout my stay. The resort is beautifully maintained, with lovely indoor and outdoor spaces that feel tranquil and luxurious. Breakfast each morning was satisfying, with a good range to suit most tastes. A delightful stay, and a great fit for a relaxing break or golf holiday.

We’re currently staying at The Westin in Marbella. The hotel is beautiful, with spacious rooms, comfortable facilities, and a lovely atmosphere. But something by the pool really affected my family. On a very windy morning, sunbeds, umbrellas, and people’s belongings were blown around. One family was badly affected: a mother carrying her four-month-old baby fell into the pool, and an umbrella hit the baby, leaving a bruise. There were many families and children there, and it was frightening and stressful. My own kids were so scared that they asked to go back to the room instead of staying at the pool. Staff removed the umbrellas afterwards, and a manager came to check on things. Still, I felt there could have been more care shown to the guests who witnessed it, particularly the unsettled children. Something small, like an hour of free kids club or complimentary ice cream, might have eased the mood and shown families some empathy. I know it was an unfortunate accident that could happen anywhere. But for a hotel with such a strong reputation, I think management could have responded more thoughtfully to support the guests who were there.
