Curolla Petit Hotel

The comfort room was the better choice for us: it felt more modern and had more space than the smaller room we used for one night. This is a small, welcoming boutique hotel, and the service from the friendly staff is excellent. I loved that everything is vegan, especially the amazing breakfast spread. The restaurant is also excellent and worth trying, though it’s closed for dinner on Sundays.

My suite was outside the main house by the pool, with loads of space and lovely natural light. Rooms vary in size and brightness, and some in the main house were smaller but cosy. The food was awesome, 10/10, and Sandy the chef is wonderful. The pool is perfect, and I really liked the bar and co-working area. The sofa seating could use a lamp for evenings. Staff were super attentive and hospitable. I went for a retreat and had an incredible time.

If you’re after quiet and relaxation, I’d recommend this little hotel. It has around 20 rooms, I think, and the historic style of the building carries through nicely. Our room was small, with just two tiny windows, which made it great for sleeping but not so good if you like daylight. The WC and shower were nearly see-through and didn’t block much sound. Breakfast was tasty and healthy. Reception was rarely staffed, though someone was always reachable on WhatsApp. There’s a small snack fridge, but I found the prices heavily inflated. In the lovely courtyard, beach loungers by the pool get sun all day. There’s also a small yoga space and a larger business, meeting, and co-working area.

I loved the thoughtful little touches here. The staff were friendly, accommodating, helped with my food needs, and suggested beaches and calas to visit. The closest beach is about a 15-minute drive away, and each day I could order a delicious vegan lunch packed in a cooler to take with me. The food was yummy, including juices and vegan desserts. It’s a lovely, relaxing countryside oasis, and the rooms are super clean and so well decorated.
