Camping Balneario Los Delfines

We’ve already booked another stay because I loved our plot here. The staff are friendly, and the toilets and showers are nice and clean. I arrived happy and left happy. This is my favourite campsite 😎😁

The ground was impossible to hammer pegs into, the facilities were dirty, and there wasn’t even a bin for a scrap of paper. At reception that night, I agreed on a price with a staff member, but he said he couldn’t charge me then and would check me in the morning. After spending the night with my tent and motorcycle, I was met by a bad-tempered man who charged me 36 Euros for the plot. Expensive, annoying, and unwelcoming. In my opinion, it’s the worst campsite I’ve ever been to, and it’s excessively expensive.

The bar and reception staff were friendly, and the bathroom facilities were fine, with lovely hot, powerful showers. Our decent-sized pitch had water and waste connections on it. The site is across from the sea and has lovely views, with walking routes off the road to Mazarrón and Isla Playa. I didn’t use the pool and spa, though they looked nice, and €5 seemed like good value. The downside for me was being charged €3 per night for one of our two chihuahuas. I don’t understand dog fees when there aren’t special facilities for them.

The pitches felt packed in too tightly for us, and while the toilets and showers were perfectly acceptable, some areas looked less cared for and less appealing. The owner did offer us a small selection of pitches to choose from, even though the campsite was very busy. The beach across the road is attractive, and the location is good. There’s an indoor spa pool with natural thermally heated water, but it costs extra to use and is also open to the public. We stayed one night and doubt we’ll return.
