Incredible place, with a superb host.

The beds were super comfortable, and it was so peaceful that we felt right at home. We had a wonderful weekend there. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and took us around the house to show us the objects and their great historical importance. It's a small palace, about 700 years old and very well preserved, with really cozy rooms. Thank you so much!

The building felt like a museum, as it's a former palace filled with high-quality historical pieces. Ana María explained everything so well during a guided tour through the rooms. Our own room was fantastic too, bright and comfortable, with lovely views and a very comfortable double bed. We also loved the breakfast, which you can choose if you wish. The service was professional, and we were very happy with the attention. Highly recommended if you love history as much as we do.

From start to finish, this place was a complete disaster. We were freezing because of the recurring heating problems, which other reviews mention too. Electric radiators seem to be a common issue. We were embarrassed for them, and it's hard to believe the property meets Spain's accommodation regulations and standards. We wasted our money. It doesn't feel like a 4-star hotel and lacks the services you'd expect. The ambassador was like a character from a horror or comedy film, somewhere between Baby Jane and an Almodóvar muse. She showed us photos of herself with the King and Queen and lectured us about presidents who had stayed there, in language and syntax that were hard to make sense of.
