I felt welcome, safe, and comfortable here, and I’d stay again. The owners are friendly, the accommodation feels luxurious and comfortable, and breakfast was good. It could get a little loud at night because the restaurant and bar downstairs stay open late. Breakfast was served when the owner came in to open up, so the timing seemed flexible, with no set morning opening time since the restaurant only opens in the afternoon. Once the shop closes, hotel guests can’t get back into the property, so talk to the owner if you plan to be out late.

The food is excellent across the board, from starters and meat to seafood and those wonderful desserts. Service was quite okay, though I didn’t like that they didn’t open the wine bottle at my table. The decor is horrible, but the place is still as cosy as you’d expect from somewhere so traditional. The real issue is the price. I’d still recommend trying it at least once if you want really good food and don’t mind what it costs. For example, 10 "00" cantabric anchovies cost 23€. Labels: $$$$, 2Eat, #seafood, #terrace

Only a few tables, and the customer care is impeccable. The local produce shines in the outstanding traditional Cantabrian cooking. Don’t miss the baked kidney beans, carico montañés.

While staying in Solares, my husband and I had a meal here and really enjoyed it. The owners are charming, and the menu is delicious. It’s a great place to eat in Solares, and the prices are friendly. We heartily recommend it.
