Elysium Restaurant & Boutique Hotel

We were delighted to see Elysium included in the Michelin Guide. I run Invincible Digital, a luxury marketing agency, and work with premium brands every day. This team clearly has the potential to go a long way, and I’m excited to see what comes next. We first came across the restaurant just as it was opening, while looking for a house in the area, and could tell even then that it was special. We recently came back for a treat, and the experience surpassed what we expected. Jasmijn is a warm, sincere, and attentive host, and the whole team shows the same care. Chef Michael’s cooking was outstanding, with balanced, memorable courses that felt like a real culinary journey. The sommelier’s wine knowledge, pairings, and stories were remarkable. A special experience from beginning to end, highly recommended.

There was no one else dining at Elysium when we visited, but it felt intimate rather than awkward and made our birthday evening really special. The food was fantastic, and the service was friendly while still giving us space. They were so kind and welcoming. We’ll definitely return, and wish them every success with the hotel and restaurant.

We celebrated two anniversaries with friends on a Sunday and had the 8 moment menu. The restaurant is in a tiny village, so you need to drive, though we live nearby and really value the area. The owners have put special work into making their dream happen. Jasmine, one of the owners, explained things and was lovely to chat with. Everyone welcomed us, and we sat in an intimate booth. The kitchen’s work was superb. Each course was delicious and intriguing, with a few surprises. The first dishes were tiny, even for a tasting menu, but the portions soon picked up. I suppose that’s how the kitchen magician planned it, and who am I to question it? I love cooking, but can’t imagine what it takes to reach that level. The California Pinot Noir was delicious, and we started with bubbles. The dessert is impossible to explain, it has to be seen and tasted. It completely blew me away. It isn’t cheap, but if you’re after something special, go before the stars arrive.

We had a wonderful stay, thanks to Jasmijn and Michael, who made the experience unforgettable for us and our friends. The spacious rooms were nicely decorated and comfortable, and the restaurant food was delicious. Staff took great care of us and made us feel welcome. We’ll be back soon!
