Hotel Lux Melide

Right on the Camino and close to everything in town, it was perfect for a stop along the way. The beds were comfortable, the showers hot, and there was a great choice at both breakfast and dinner buffets. Leslie in the dining room was fantastic.

The room was roomy, very clean and had plenty of storage. We were unsure about facing the square, but the windows did a fantastic job keeping street noise out. The bed was comfortable too. There was a coffee machine, but no kettle or refrigerator. The A/C worked perfectly, the elevator was useful, and the WiFi stayed strong and steady. We paid extra for breakfast, which was very good and had nice options. Front desk coverage was the one thing that felt odd, since there wasn’t always someone there. Still, we had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay on the Camino.

Lux Melide turned out to be a great base for the region, even if you’re hoping to stay on the coast. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the hotel has handy extras like self-serve laundry and an open-air terrace with a snack bar. The little town was bustling, yet parking was still easy to find. They also have a limited number of apartment-style rooms with full kitchens, which would be great for families. I’d highly recommend it.

The location is right in the middle of town, near restaurants and the supermarket, and the rooms are modern and clean with the toiletries and amenities you need. The shower had great water pressure. Breakfast was good, there was a water cooler for filling bottles, and the service was friendly.
