The hotel is basic but clean, with an excellent location and a lovely pool. A few guests, including us, found that our room keys randomly stopped working. We were told that holding a phone near the key card could somehow disable it. They might need a new system, or should let guests know at check-in to keep the card separate from their phone.

It's amazing value, with lots of good restaurants nearby. Don't be put off by the two stars. The hotel is very clean, the pool is really well maintained, and the staff are really kind.

Thanks, Juan Carlos and Maria. We'll be back. We love this friendly, family run hotel and restaurant on Menorca's unspoilt, rugged northern side. It brings together popular local flavour with good service and appreciation for visitors. The food is good, the location is great, there's a nice little poolside area, and the rooms and balconies are lovely and big without being needlessly plush. It's set by a lovely village square, harbour side. I can't understand why it only gets two stars, so don't let that put you off.

The monkfish stew is packed with flavor, and the fried cheese salad was a real surprise. We also loved the aubergines, and there are plenty of other dishes to try, all at a really high standard. The staff are warm and friendly. It’s a family-run hostal and restaurant in what’s probably one of the best locations on the island. I’d definitely suggest giving it a try.

The black rice was just average, and the desserts were okay, but lunch was great overall. The arròs caldós was especially tasty, and we really enjoyed the mussels too.
