Lovely and clean, though it was a bit small.

Apartment 1 on the first floor was bright and looked out onto a quiet courtyard. There’s no lift. The location is excellent, very close to the Roman theater, and noise from the entrance wasn’t an issue. The city was packed over the long weekend, with the local football team playing at the nearby stadium, but we still found parking very close by. The studio was as described, newly renovated and very clean. It felt like a three-star hotel room, with a small kitchenette for basic meals: a fridge, two burners, and a microwave. The bedroom had a very comfortable 1.35m bed, and the bathroom was a little bigger than it looks in the photos. The insulation was so good that we hardly needed the heating. The host, a woman, was attentive and gave us clear directions and an access code to open the door with our phone. Traditional keys were provided inside as a backup. It’s a quiet, convenient place for a couple of days in the city. I’d keep things simple in the kitchenette and pick up local Extremadura products at the nearby shop. I’d definitely stay here again if I return to Mérida.

The location is very good, and the soundproofing is good too. It also seems to have been renovated recently. But to me, this was a room with a kitchenette, not an apartment, and everything felt tiny. I wouldn’t recommend it for more than two people or a stay longer than two days. The bed and sofa were comfortable, but at 1.78 meters tall, my feet hung over the end of the small bed. There were only three hangers, one broken, and no scissors, sharp knives, or clothes rack, so there was nowhere to put bags or coats. The kitchen had dishes to wash, but no salt, sugar, or anything else. The tablecloth was dirty and smelled unclean. There wasn’t even a map or information about the area. There’s no parking at the accommodation, though you can park nearby.

Apartment number two was great, and the crib we needed arrived quickly. Parking was easy and the location was good. The only thing missing was a brush or something similar in the apartment.

We really liked the apartment. It had everything we needed, and the tourist attractions were very close by.
