We stayed three nights with our two grown-up sons, in two rooms linked by terraces that opened onto the garden. There was plenty of parking for guests along the perimeter wall. The rooms were spacious, with large, extremely comfortable beds, and breakfast came with delicious homemade cakes and bread. This lovingly restored finca in the quiet town of Morgo has an understated elegance and authentic Spanish charm, and it's well placed for exploring the Calabria region. Representatives from Unesco chose to stay here when designating the coastline a World Heritage Site, which is no coincidence. Great find and highly recommended.

We came with a friend before catching the ferry from Santander, and the scenic countryside location is only 20 minutes from the port. The hotel is a charming, characterful restoration of a historic 16th-century building. Our host was welcoming, friendly, and professional. We'll always come back.

Anna is a wonderful, helpful host, and this cosy, beautiful place is a real gem. I've travelled for 40 years, and it's one of the best places I've stayed. Highly recommend it if you're travelling through Northern Spain for a holiday or taking the ferry in Santander. It's only a 25-minute drive to the ferry port. I'll be back.

The owner was so kind and recommended La Quebrada, which turned out to be amazing. The service and care for guests are hard to find these days. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds, breakfast was delicious, and there's plenty of parking. It's also close to major attractions. My only regret is not staying longer. Highly recommend this beautiful place!
