A really peaceful place to stay, and a great base for walking the Camino.

Begoña made us feel very well looked after, and the homemade breakfast was a treat: wheat and rye toast, jams and cake. The rural setting feels authentic, with real attention to ecology and sustainability. Once you reach Miño, it's easy to find after finishing the route. Following the GPS takes you along pleasant country roads, and if you're uncertain, Begoña can guide you over the phone. We stayed very relaxed even while dealing with car trouble, and the house is handy for day trips to different places. There's no TV, which makes it easy to switch off completely.

Begoña is such a kind and generous host. It's a great spot for spending a few summer holiday days, though you'll need a car and at least a bicycle to get around, especially for the trip to Miño beach, about 15 minutes away by car.

Breakfast is a real highlight here, with fresh juice, homemade cake and Begoña's own jam. The owner, Begoña, goes out of her way to make things comfortable, and staying there feels a little like being a guest in her home without any awkwardness. The house is well placed for Miño's long beach and sunsets, as well as Betanzos, A Coruña, Pontedeume, Redes and other spots. We enjoyed the small lanes on the way to Pousadeira, especially the lovely streamside path with old mills. We even crossed paths with a wild boar at night. Fragas do Eume National Park makes a good day excursion. We also really recommend Begoña's cooking for dinner. For eating out, A Arteza da Moza Crecha in Betanzos was a lovely culinary experience in a beautiful setting, and affordable too.
