Quiet, nice apartments. There’s a Spar at the top of the hill, and a taxi to puerto rico costs only €8.

This was my seventh trip to the area, but my first time at El cardinal. I'm talking only about apartment 403 here. It was a late, budget booking, and my boyfriend was being tight, so I wasn't expecting much. Still, I was VERY disappointed. The furniture was old, worn, and threadbare, with TERMITES. A few things were from ikea, which we all know is cheap rubbish, and not sturdy enough. I've never seen sheets so THIN, almost see-through. We had to hang an old blanket over the bedroom window as a curtain. The kitchen was in very poor shape and badly equipped. The owner didn't even leave us a bottle of water. Playa de cura itself is still a lovely, fairly quiet area, with easy access to amadorres and mogan. My advice is to spend more and not trust a cheapskate boyfriend to book the hotel!
