Apartamentos Cumana

We won’t ever stay here again. The rooms were incredibly dirty, with ants and a crispy smell, plus an ugly smell from the bathrooms. Some rooms that needed to be gassed were left with unwanted animals inside, so we were moved, but the replacement felt like a horror movie. I was glad whenever I could get out of the hotel. There’s no elevator, only stairs, and they’re laid out like a maze, so it’s easy to get lost. When we arrived in the evening, a night watchman greeted us and helped. On weekends, locals came over and took over the pool, throwing lots of trash into it, and then there were even more unwanted animals.

Jesus was the best host we could have asked for. Everything was perfect. We enjoyed the pool and terrace, and the apartment was very clean with everything we needed. Thank you for everything.

It’s a great base, very close to the centre. I’ve stayed here before, and the apartments were a bit tired, though they were cleaned regularly. There are lots of steps around the complex, and reception is only open at certain times. When I was there on a few occasions, Antonio at reception was very helpful.

A simple, pleasant place to stay with good staff. It isn’t a five-star hotel, and the price reflects that, so think about what you’re booking. I’ll be back because I don’t spend my holiday in the apartment moaning about poor interior decoration, a missing cupboard handle or a dirty teaspoon in the drawer.
