We chose this hotel because it sits a little back from the action, which gave us the relaxation we wanted. When we wanted entertainment, shops, car and scooter hire, a supermarket, a nice beach, and a great aquapark were just down the lift. The location was fabulous, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. For a budget holiday, it exceeded our expectations, and we'll be back. I can't understand what some guests expect. The hotel was clean, tidy, and spacious. There wasn't a huge food selection, but the quality was good, food rarely ran out, and trays were regularly replenished. Ice cream at lunch and dinner was an extra treat. Breakfast was a favorite, with sausages, scrambled and fried eggs, and bacon. The Churros dipped in melted hot chocolate were yummy too.

After 11 days, my holiday was only okay, mostly because I was out almost every day. I used the hotel pool just twice. Based on my experience, the hotel and services felt closer to 2 stars than 4. Most of the lower-end reviews I've read describe things I experienced too, especially the water. I've never stayed all inclusive without water. I arrived late and was given a room that had lots of insects. I have videos and pictures of them. I asked to move straight away, though I'd already rested on the bed for about 20 minutes while the insects were there. The replacement room seemed clear, but its key card didn't work. My son and I went back and forth to reception around eight times before maintenance fixed it, costing me nearly two hours of rest after a long journey. The food didn't feel like 4-star quality. I've travelled to 23 countries and stayed at another hotel in Taurito in 2024, so I had something to compare it with. The food was very repetitive and limited, and I still had to buy food outside. The rooms were freezing at night, so I had to ask for a blanket. The water park isn't included in the all-inclusive package, so drinks and food there cost extra. It's a bit of a walk from the hotel, which can make water park days expensive. Entertainment was very poor. The only entertainment area is near the arcade and serves the whole Taurito area. I never found a seat. The shows were mainly for kids and very basic, not what I'd expect from a 4-star hotel. Housekeeping knocked at 10am to ask if I wanted the room cleaned, even though I was already using the door card system to indicate when cleaning was needed. The hotel is Hotel LIVVO Costa Taurito.

We came for three nights, and I think I'd cry if it had to be one night longer. This was my worst hotel stay ever. We'll never come back, and we'll tell friends and family never to stay here. The hotel has no atmosphere and feels lifeless. The foyer, where the “entertainment” is supposed to happen, looks like a care-home canteen. The advertised “Piano Bar” has a piano under a dust sheet, and there's no real bar there. This isn't a 4-star hotel, 2 at most. The lift down the hill is still out of use, and the water feature at the entrance is switched off. Food was the worst my girlfriend and I have ever had, probably made with the cheapest products. There was little choice, everything was bland, and the food looked and smelled vile. After dinner, all I could find was plain white rice and one slice of pizza. The outdoor pool was freezing and not a nice area. I've stayed in several other Gran Canaria hotels where the outdoor pools were heated. There was no indoor pool either. Reception said we could use the sister hotel's indoor pool, but we'd have to pay extra, and we said definitely not. The cocktails seemed made with cheap products too, like alcohol in a paper cup with a dash of very sweet syrup. They were disgusting and undrinkable. We also didn't like that the room balconies faced the street. They should at least overlook a nice pool area, if not have breathtaking sea views.

The lift to the promenade was out of order for a long time, so guests had to take long detours on foot or walk through another hotel. The mood throughout the place felt extremely depressing, with no life or energy. It was the saddest hotel I've stayed in. We had a toddler, and these conditions were completely unacceptable. Avoid this place. It is not a 4-star hotel, just 1-2 stars at best. We booked two separate rooms, one for two adults and a child, the other for one adult. Instead, we were first given a single room for three adults and a child, with an extra bed unsuitable for an adult. Reception blamed a “system error.” We only got the second room after a serious argument. Both rooms were in similarly poor condition: worn, dirty furniture, cracked tiles, visible moisture and mold stains, rusty bathroom fittings, and peeling bathtub enamel. The balcony handrail was loose and plaster was falling off, which seemed like a clear safety issue. Food quality was very poor. Meals were served in heavily scratched, damaged non-stick (Teflon) containers, raising hygiene concerns. The dishes were bland and low quality, and the desserts were the worst and most unappealing we've ever seen in a hotel. The open-bar wine was almost undrinkable. Drinks came in glass only at the restaurant. At the pool and hotel bars, everything was served in paper Pepsi cups, and some drinks and food cost extra despite the all-inclusive advertising.

The staff are five-star, and the location is really good, right in the center. From there, transport and the water park are neither far nor close. It's a great place for families, including children and teenagers, with lots of activities in the surrounding area.
