The location is great, the sea view is lovely, and both nearby beaches are easy to get to. Staff were friendly, though their response times and problem-solving could be much better. Quiet evenings were impossible because of loud, constant music from the pool and late-night entertainment, along with drunk, noisy guests. Sleeping was difficult anyway, since the bed is extremely short and unsuitable for anyone over about 185 cm.

We paid more for this place expecting an upgrade, but ended up with something like the basic option we could have booked for half the price. We chose it after loving the 'ONA' apartments in Lanzarote, but these properties had nothing similar about them. If we'd paid a basic price, I'd have had no reason to complain about a basic stay. This wasn't what we expected. We stayed as a couple with our 9 month old baby. Before booking, we researched the property and emailed to ask about baby-friendly amenities, including a travel cot, highchair, and pushchair access. We were reassured none of those would be a problem. At arrival, the first issue was the unhelpful reception staff. We'd taken the public bus from the airport, a large coach-like bus with storage underneath. Our pushchair and bags were left in the luggage area at our stop, but our baby bag was missing and another bag had been left in its place, so someone had obviously taken the wrong one. The driver gave us a number. Because of the language barrier, we kindly asked the man at reception to help by calling the bus company, but he refused, saying, 'Those lines never work. They will never answer or help. Do it online'. We waited a few hours for the apartment to be ready, sitting at the bar while we called the company ourselves. They answered straight away, luckily, and spoke great English. They said someone had returned our bag and told us where and when to collect it. It was the dismissal from reception, and the complete lack of effort to help us, that upset us. Once we got into the room, we found that although the lift goes to the first floor, our apartment was still up two flights of stairs, one a tiny, narrow staircase. A pushchair couldn't get up there, so we had to leave it downstairs for the whole stay and carry the baby and our bags every time. We were given a cot but no highchair. They said they didn't have any for the rooms. Since we'd planned to self-cater sometimes and had been told by email this was okay, that seemed strange. We were told we could collect a little kit from the shop: a tiny bottle of washing-up liquid, one washing tablet, and one dishwasher tablet. When it ran out, I went back to explain that we needed more washing-up liquid for the baby's bottles. The woman bluntly said that was all we got. I offered to buy more, but they didn't sell any and sent me to reception. The woman there said I needed to go to the nearest shop, a 25 minute walk away, because she couldn't give us any more. I understand there are rules, but refusing even a tiny squirt so I could wash his bottles at 6pm, before dinner and bedtime, until I could get more in town the next day felt insensitive. People reserved sun beds with pool towels at silly hours of the morning, and nobody enforced the rules. One day we tried the pool's 'Happy Hour', a buy-one-get-one-free deal on certain drinks. We ordered glasses of sangria, which were tiny, basic, and had no fruit. The next day, outside happy hour, we saw some girls with big sangrias containing fruit and looking fancy. I get that it was happy hour, but don't advertise buy one get one free on normal drinks if they're half the size of the usual ones. Breakfast was included but basic. There were usually only one or two waiting staff, and you could never find them. Tables were cramped together, condiments were always hard to find, and they offer poached eggs if you ask a waiter, but we could never find anyone to ask. Tables were never cleared, which attracted lots of pigeons. It was horrible trying to eat breakfast with a baby while ten pigeons were eating nearby.

The apartment has everything needed for a really relaxing holiday, plus stunning sea views. This was our first visit, and definitely won't be our last. The staff are very friendly and helpful, always happy to chat, and breakfast has a wide selection to suit all tastes. We'll definitely come back.

The apartments are spotless and peaceful, like having a luxury home of your own. Breakfast was outstanding, and the whole team was fantastic and welcoming, especially reception, the breakfast staff, maintenance, and the lovely young man who carried our cases up the stairs. The lift was out of service, so we had to manage steep stairs. We were fit enough to handle it, but it can be tiring, so it's worth checking whether the lift is working. If that's fixed, this place would be a perfect 10/10.
