Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Gran Canaria Mogan

The facilities, food and atmosphere all made for a special stay at this 5-star hotel, and the staff were friendly and ready to help. Adrián and Sandro from the entertainment team deserve a special mention. They’re kind, full of energy and clearly enjoy putting on games and activities. They made the stay more fun, helped create a great atmosphere, and made everyone feel welcome and included. There was always something entertaining to do. I’d recommend the hotel and hope to visit again soon.

For coeliac guests, the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Gran Canaria Mogan is particularly easy to recommend, and it’s a great choice in general too. Before our visit, we emailed the hotel about coeliac disease and received a form to fill in. We handed it in at check-in, though it may also be possible to do this on arrival. The dietary requirement is linked to the room number, so breakfast staff can see the coeliac note in their system. At breakfast, you choose from a separate form, and the food is freshly made and brought to the table. The selection was excellent and everything we had tasted delicious. This system and its routines are the best we’ve experienced, and we’re grateful for such a well-organized, safe service. The gluten-free choices included loaf bread, a sourdough slice, panini rolls, crackers, classic muffins, croissants, pancakes, chocolate puff pastry, chocolate chip cookies, hazelnut wafers, Savoyardi ladyfingers, cornflakes and Choco Flakes (Chocapic). Breakfast and the wider selection were outstanding even for guests without coeliac disease, among the best we’ve had. The hotel is spacious and has two pool areas, one for families with children and a quiet adults-only zone. There are always plenty of sunbeds, so no need to reserve them early, and comfortable ones are available on the terrace or balcony for more privacy. Facilities are very good overall. The gym equipment is a little worn, but otherwise there was nothing to complain about. Beds are comfortable, staff throughout the hotel are very friendly and service-minded, and housekeeping is excellent. We highly recommend it.

The rooms are large, comfortable and well presented, and the beds were really comfy. We had a nice balcony, good pools and a gym, and breakfast was a good buffet. Staff were mostly very good, smiling and hardworking, and I’d stay again, though it didn’t quite feel like a full five-star hotel. Our TV didn’t work, and there was some noise from cleaners where we stayed in 1104. I imagine there may be other issues around the kids’ pool, too. If I had a choice, I’d ask for a high room near the quiet pool. Noise around that pool and in the restaurant could be managed better. Some people, including one of the lifeguards, made calls on speakerphone, and the hotel tolerated it. It really spoiled the peaceful atmosphere, even if it wasn’t entirely the hotel’s fault.

A really nice place for a holiday. There are two pool areas, one for fun with kids and another quiet zone to unwind. The food was good, especially at the Italian restaurant Filion. Staff were helpful and nice, and there are lots of good restaurants around the hotel and harbor.
