The bus stop right outside made it easy to get to the centre or pueblo for €1.20. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, and the small bar next to the hotel was a good place to stop. Everyone at the hotel was pleasant. It’s a small hotel on the edge of town, and check in was quick. Our lovely room faced the sea and the main road. They’d left little extras, including spare toothbrushes and a small razor. Breakfast had tostadas with meats and cheeses, plenty of butter and jam, plus fruit, orange juice and coffee. All in all, a great stay.

The staff were courteous, and the room was comfortable and clean. It also came with a nice typical Spanish breakfast. The hotel overlooks the Beach and is in a very good location. I’d recommend it to anyone after an inexpensive place to spend the night that still offers good quality.

The room was very clean and had lots of little extras, but my partner and I had a hard time sleeping. The bed was uncomfortable, with a dip on his side that made it difficult for him to fall asleep. We were told breakfast was included, and my partner questioned this, but nobody else seemed to pay on the way out. We were the only English people there and got charged €11 for tostado con tomate and two coffees. It looked like we’d been charged an “English only” price, and I’m not having that anymore. There was something scratching inside the bathroom walls behind the shower tiles and toilet. We heard it for much of the night but didn’t see it, luckily. Drunk people at the bar next door shouted and yelled until 4:30am. The chatter was fine, but the shouting made it hard to sleep. Parking was a challenge, as motorcycles seemed to get priority. It was budget accommodation and clean for the price, but we barely slept because of all this. With so many hotels on the playa, we wouldn’t stay here again. The TV was about the size of a computer monitor. That’s normally fine since who goes to Mojacar to watch TV, but England was playing and my partner wanted to catch the highlights. It’s not a deal breaker, just a comment. It only deserves its two stars, in my view, and couples wanting a romantic, peaceful getaway should know it’s not the place. If you’re planning to party all night, miles down the strip from here, it might be a good place to pass out. Otherwise, I’d give it a miss, especially if you’re a foreign national, since the pricing will reflect that.
