Hotel Playa Bocaina

The beds are comfortable for two, and breakfast was nice. There’s free parking across the street, and the restaurant has chairs set up across the road. The location is great. Don’t miss the sunrise. It’s not bad, just nothing special.

The beach is just across the road and the location is fantastic, with restaurants and bars right below. The owners were friendly. The room was very basic, but the bed was comfortable and the pillows were first class. I went for a long weekend. I imagine summer nights could be quite noisy. 💛😊

What a nightmare. We booked directly online and arrived during the confirmed check-in time, but the whole hotel was locked and looked derelict. A neighbouring hotel in the same group called someone, who said they had no booking, even though we were standing there with our confirmation. Eventually someone arrived and let us into an annex. The room was okay and as expected once the electricity was switched on. We were told the water would be hot in half an hour, but there was no hot water then or the next morning. We couldn’t shower before the 60th birthday celebrations we’d come to Mojacar for, and I travelled home without having a shower. There was no milk or coffee on the tea tray either. We’d stayed a couple of years ago and the service was great, so it’s a shame. The hotel now feels old and tired, and the service this time was terrible.

It was ideal for two of us for an overnight stay. Our very clean room faced the sea and had two comfortable single beds. The gentleman at the desk was friendly and very helpful, and breakfast had a good choice. Thanks for having us.
