Hotel Sal Marina

The manageress was very helpful, though she didn’t speak English, and the waitress did. Google Translate came in handy. The room was comfortable, with a balcony facing the sea and a great sunrise each morning. We only ate breakfast there, which was good, with a choice of continental or full English. A pleasant little hotel and very good value. I visited in January 2019.

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and the little touches made the stay. When we returned on day two, the room had been cleaned even though we’d forgotten to leave the key as the door instructions asked. We had breakfast on the terrace, a tostada, orange juice and café con leche, with a lovely view of the sea. Our twin room was basic but very clean, with comfortable beds, air conditioning and decent furniture. There’s no fridge. The bathroom was spotless, though we did wipe the floor after each shower. We came an hour before check-in and were welcomed with a smile and allowed into the room early. Our room faced the side of the building rather than having the front sea view we expected, but that didn’t bother us. We stayed in June with my daughter, and I’d happily come back.

We needed somewhere for one night because the water at home was off, and this place turned out to be a lovely find. It was very clean and friendly. The bed felt a little hard to me, but that’s personal, and I’d still stay again.

The price was very good, the staff were excellent, and every room has a lovely view of the sea. There are impressive local restaurants nearby too. I’d recommend it and will be back.
