The villa is very well equipped, with plenty of things there already, so all you need for the first night is food to cook. It has two fully equipped kitchens, two roof terraces, and a steam room. The terraces are completely secluded, with stunning views towards the coast and the mountains. There are also two wood burners, one with a bread oven for winter use. This is proper countryside, surrounded by olive trees and far from tourism. It’s quiet, up in the hills at 1800ft, in the middle of nowhere. Nearby dogs do their guard dog job, but soon quiet down and go back inside, they don’t bark constantly like another review said. It’s 50 minutes from Malaga airport and 40 to Torre del Mar.

Mari and the owners are lovely, and it’s great that you can bring your dog. The house is all on one level, so getting around is easy, and it has air conditioning in every room, two kitchens including one outside with a barbecue, a pool, and a hammam. It’s a great place for a few days with friends, family, or anyone in between. The only downside for me was the 4 pm check-in and 10 am checkout, which leaves little time to enjoy the place on departure day. Still, highly recommended. We’ll definitely return.

We had a great time with our dog and rabbit, and the family running the place didn’t mind at all. They were very friendly and attentive and gave us a welcome gift. The pool and picnic area are wonderful. The house was clean and in excellent shape, with thoughtful touches that made it comfortable and cozy. We’ll definitely be back.

The road into Mondron is okay, but the last short stretch to the villa is really bad and narrow, with no room for oncoming traffic to pass. Definitely not a place to bring a lowered sports car, lol. Still, the villa is beautiful, with a lovely view, a wonderful pool that has no cold water, and two roof terraces. A very good choice.

The person in charge was very friendly, and the house does have a nice pool, washing machine, and dishwasher, but I can’t recommend it. They should warn guests about the terrible access: it’s an unpaved road full of potholes, and we canceled all our planned outings so we wouldn’t have to drive. There are no bins nearby, so rubbish has to be taken by car, yet they’ll take €100 from your deposit if you leave it behind. We couldn’t rest because dogs at neighbouring properties barked ALL NIGHT LONG. Closing the windows meant sweltering in the heat, and the fan only made noise. None of the electric bug zappers seemed to work, and we all left with mosquito and spider bites. The TV only plays DVDs in English.
