The place looks pretty, and the decor suits its surroundings, but it was really dirty. I hate leaving negative reviews, but that weekend was very unpleasant. I didn’t feel comfortable leaning on, sitting on, or sleeping on anything. There was hair in the mugs, the microwave looked as if it had been used several times, and the sofas were dirty and smelled bad. They hadn’t left firewood for the fireplace either, though that was the least of our concerns. This could have been a perfect stay if it had been properly cleaned before each guest.

There’s no phone coverage, which made it a great place to switch off and get some proper rest. Really nice spot.

The beds are very comfortable, and it’s easy to communicate with the owners. It’s a worthwhile stay in a quiet, rural spot, though some areas could use improvement, especially the bathrooms, bedroom TVs and kitchen.

The walking trails around town are especially lovely, particularly the mill route through the Extremaduran landscape of olive groves, holm oaks and cork oaks. It’s also easy to visit the well-known towns nearby. We stayed at Casa Margarita I, right in the center and close to the main square. The house was exceptionally clean and spacious, with an en-suite bathroom in every room, very comfortable beds and down comforters. The owner was incredibly kind, bringing us firewood for the fireplace each day and arranging a wonderful New Year’s Eve dinner at the only restaurant open in town that night. We had a fantastic time and will definitely stay in touch. We highly recommend both the house and the town for a restful, enjoyable visit. The house and its surroundings are truly lovely and well worth seeing.

The terrace is wonderful for watching the sunrise, absolutely stunning. The house itself is gorgeous, with spectacular location, decor, and cleanliness. It felt as if we were the first people to use it. The host was incredibly friendly and attentive, and everything went smoothly. We couldn’t have been more comfortable, and staying here was a fantastic choice.
