Josep was really friendly and helpful. The place is in a nice spot, with plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby, plus banks and an ATM. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, and there's air conditioning and Wi-Fi. As a solo biker, I found it cosy and clean, with enough for a few nights. Highly recommended.

For less than €30 a day, this place was a real blessing. I want to thank Josep, the manager, and his team. They work hard and deserve respect. The location on Calle major made it easy to find what I needed. Parking is free throughout the city. Most rooms have two beds and a balcony facing the main street. Mine had air conditioning, an HDTV, good Wi-Fi (150 mb/s on a speed test), a wardrobe with two cupboards, a valet stand, a desk with a comfortable armchair, a nightstand and an extra chair. The bathroom had a hair dryer, a wall heater, a large tub with shower, a large sink and good water pressure. Every morning at 8 on the dot, the cleaning team came by with fresh towels, soap and shampoo. They cleaned the bath, sink, toilet and desk, swept and mopped the room and balcony, changed the sheets and took out the rubbish. One handled the cleaning while another did the beds. They had good energy. There are plenty of food options close by. About 200 metres to the right is the famous bar de la dana, which became my regular spot. Across from it, there's a bistro kebab open late. To the left is al lio bar/ restaurant, with average food and good prices. New ferran bar/restaurant is behind the hotel, within 500 metres, and is second only to La dana for me. They all offer daily menus to take away. Mora la nova currently has a flurry of supermarkets. Two are to the right beside La dana, one on the hotel side of the street and one across from it. Both stay open late and have most things you need. I preferred the one on the same side as the hotel because the staff were wonderful, remembered me and made an effort to help. The other is good too, and the two shops are competing. It's run by a family of Pakistani origin. At 23:30 I could still buy warm bread, a grinder, ice and a bottle of brâu de brot. Beside La dana there's also a small local delicacies shop run by a Spanish man. It closes earlier, but I found goat cheese and hamon sliced in front of me. Next to the Pakistani shop is a clarel selling cosmetics. About 400 metres to the left of the hostal, a Moroccan family runs a grocery where I found a perfect mango, along with grapes, dates, figs, black and green, black tomatoes and other produce. They rule the fruit and grocery section. Esclat, the proper supermarket here, is four minutes away by car. For banking, bbva is about 100 metres down the street to the left, and la caixa is another 300 metres further along. There's a full tabac shop 300 metres to the right, past La dana on the same side. It has all kinds of cigarettes, manitou tobacco, rolling papers, carbon filters and a full display of clipper lighters, a Spanish brand. On the opposite side, about 300 metres further along to the left, a nice woman runs a gift shop that also sells a basic selection of tobacco. There's only one lavanderia in the area, in mora d’Ebre. It's called lo safareig, and it's self-service with detergent included. It has three washers, two small 10 kg machines at €5 a load and one large 15 kg machine at €7, plus two dryers, including one large dryer, at €3 a load. The area is humid, so even locals come here to dry clothes. Don't use the highest heat setting, though. I ruined a few T-shirts that way. It has Wi-Fi and is open daily until 22:00, a six-minute drive from here. My hairdresser is next door. A haircut is €8 and a beard trim €5. He's a humble, respectful, middle-aged Moroccan man who pays attention to detail. A pleasure.

The hosts were friendly and spoke English. The place was comfortable, clean and good value, and there was secure parking for motorcycles. Highly recommended.

The owner was very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were spacious and clean. The hot water came through straight away and the air conditioning worked. It's in a good location too. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5/5 was the dated room decor. I'd definitely recommend it for the quality you get for the price.
