We only spent one night, but had a really good experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Morella is about a 10-minute drive through the mountains, and the trip is worth it for the calmer, more rural setting.

With our small children there, finding a bag of cannabis in one drawer and a drawer full of cigarette butts in the dining room was disturbing. A decorative trunk in that room was filthy, too. When we opened the sofa bed, there were dead bugs and a huge spider eating insects. After seeing that, the thought of sleeping in supposedly clean beds was disgusting.

The town is pretty and quiet, but the room had a window about a meter and a half off the ground and no fence, in case you leave your keys inside. The view of the ruined stables is priceless. The mattress was comfortable, the room clean, and the shower had good pressure. Bring a fan if you don't want to sleep with the window open. You should also let the towels dry, since they aren't changed or cleaned until you leave the room. A microwave and small fridge would have helped, even if shared.

It's a spectacular house, very clean, and has everything you might need. The village has nothing in it, though, and the narrow, winding drive to Morella feels like it takes forever.
