Iberostar Waves Playa Gaviotas

The kids’ clubs and activities were fun, and gave us parents a bit of a break. Our four-year-old had a blast, especially when the hotel made her birthday special with gifts, a card and dessert in our room. The facilities were very good, and we’d be happy to come back.

The buffet had loads of variety and changed often, from Chinese-themed dishes and BBQ to local and Spanish food. The pool area was very nice, and it was a short, easy walk to the amazing beach. There’s also a doctor’s office on campus. The reception staff gave amazing service, and the animation team was full of lovely people from different parts of Europe. They’re hard to match. Even people who don’t speak German or English speak those languages well enough to communicate, so it’s easy to get by. The program was well organised and enjoyable. I can highly recommend this hotel for families with kids.

Everything was very clean, and the staff were really friendly. There’s lots for children to do, so I love the resort. I’d only change one thing: in the restaurant, employees could clear away used plates from the buffet tables more often. That’s my only suggestion. Everything else was very, very nice and excellent!

We had a fantastic holiday at Iberostar Waves Playa Park, and would definitely return. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, especially Franzi, whose warm, welcoming manner made our stay even more memorable. Our room was modern and very well equipped, the food was delicious and varied, and the location was ideal, central and close to the beach. A few little things could be better. Two gym machines were out of order the whole time, so regular maintenance would help. Kids should also be kept from wandering into the gym, since it isn’t a playground. The pool lifeguards do their job, but can be too strict even when children are just playing normally, which can make things less relaxed for families. Some rooms get quite noisy from early deliveries or evening entertainment. If quiet matters more to you, book a room facing outwards, though that means giving up the sea view.
