It’s really cheap and does the job for a few days near the beach. There are plenty of shops nearby, and it’s calm, in the center of the city and close to the beach. The bathroom is quite small. The owner is very strict about air conditioning and smoking.

The room was tiny, so cramped you could barely move, and everything was dusty. The TV was so high that watching it meant craning your neck. We asked if there was another room with a different TV setup and more space, and the owner kept telling us, about four times, that if we had so many complaints there was another hotel next door, he didn’t want troublemakers, and it was a quiet place. He seemed to assume my partner was trouble because of her tattoos on her face and all over her body. People have tattoos nowadays, and that doesn’t make them troublemakers or bad people. He didn’t actually kick us out, but after dismissing my partner like that and making us feel awful, we found another hotel. He came into the room without saying a word, and I assure you it wasn’t to clean. We’d paid everything without staying even a day, but when we came back for our money, he kept 5 euros, saying it was for the time we’d wasted. I’m staying, and you’re the one who wasted time, not us. His narrow-mindedness is why we had to find somewhere else. My tattooed partner has more courage and heart than he does. What closed minds in the 21st century. I’m sorry, but what a shame. I don’t recommend this place. For 10 euros more, there are better quality places, and this one really isn’t worth it. I hope the owner sees the light. I’m giving it one star because otherwise it can’t be published, but I wouldn’t give this place even 3 cents.

We liked the place and will definitely return. It’s centrally located and the rooms are affordable. Pets are allowed for an extra €10. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, and told us about events happening in Motril.

The location made it easy to explore the whole town, with parks, shops, and everything else close by. The rooms are great value, the bed is very comfortable, and the hot water works perfectly. My friend and I stayed during Easter week, and from the moment we arrived, they treated us and my dogs like family. Carmen is wonderful and goes out of her way for guests, even with things that have nothing to do with the hostel. She helped however she could, and I made a friend there! The owner is friendly, modern, and a huge animal lover. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you for making the stay so lovely, Carmen. From Noe and Cristian.
