I called Ignacio on behalf of the Councilor for Animal Welfare and the Els Poets association to arrange a meeting about an urgent issue causing serious problems for all of us residents. He spoke to me with real contempt and arrogance. I don’t think he’s a good professional, and I think we should change property managers.

The receptionist was really nice, and the staff were friendly, but the manager was downright rude. We couldn’t get the internet problem resolved. There was also a dead rat in the pool, and he blamed nature and said he didn’t need to do anything about it. If the manager won’t deal with problems, you don’t want to stay there.

The terrace grill in our apartment had been turned into an ashtray. Then there was confusion over our departure date. When we picked up the keys, the secretary told us the booking ran through Thursday and could be extended to Friday. We didn’t agree to that. But when we returned the keys on Thursday, with everything already packed, she said we had to pay for an extra day because the reservation was actually until Friday. We’d packed and cleaned the day before, got no refund or even an apology, just reproaches for a misunderstanding she’d caused.

La Sella is a central location for this lovely apartment complex, which has Wi-Fi. A tennis court is attached, with a riding stable right next door, and the golf course is only a few hundred meters away. The Buddhist center, home to the European headquarters of the Sakya lineage, is a ten-minute walk.

Never again. The man at reception, who I think is the manager, was really mean and refused to help us with anything, whether it was the rat poisoning in the pool or the internet network problems we’d paid for.
