The room had no ventilation, sewage smells came from the bathroom, and I could hear the neighbors. The people in the other apartment even woke me when their security system wouldn’t let them in, though that wasn’t their fault. The worst part was the cockroaches. I saw one in the bathroom and told the owner. He said they show up now and then and there wasn’t much he could do. I asked him to bring insecticide, but over an hour went by and he never came. When I called again, he said he was busy with other things. I told him not to bother. On Sunday, my last day, I saw another cockroach come out from under the armchair by the door and crawl toward the landing shared by the two apartments. Check-in was awkward too. I arrived at night and had to take photos of my ID in the dark alley where the apartment is. Paying 150 euros for two nights while worrying about cockroaches crawling around as you sleep is unacceptable. The owner’s reaction made it worse: no apology and no help. If I spoke to a client at my company that way, I’d be out of a job the next day.

We had a pleasant stay, but the strong tobacco smell left a bad impression. It was throughout the house and in the curtains, sofa, and other fabrics. We were traveling with a baby, and even with the windows open in the cold February weather, the smell wouldn’t clear. There was a no-smoking sign, so this needs to be taken much more seriously these days. We checked out 20 minutes late. The manager called about it and was very kind, while the cleaning lady was quite rude. We later realized she smoked a lot and carried a strong smell of smoke. We can’t say we saw her smoking inside, but the odor stayed with her. The apartment itself was fine, and the app-based key system worked great. Cleaning was okay, nothing special.

The street was noisy, and I wouldn’t recommend the area for families since it felt dangerous. The apartment itself was mostly fine, apart from a cockroach in the bathroom. Thanks, Jose.

We ended up having to find a hotel at 2:00 AM after a horrible stay. The bed was stained with what looked like blood from sex, the bathroom was filthy, the towels had been used, and the mattress was damp and moldy. The place was nothing like the photos. Mr. José didn’t care and offered no solution. I have photos and videos showing the condition of everything. It was shameful, and I’d never recommend it. This guy is a scoundrel.
