This gallery is free to enter and has some striking work, especially upstairs, where there are very old friezes and religious pieces, including a wonderful, intricate Rembrandt engraving. Downstairs was my favorite, with vivid, detailed paintings, some referring to the civil war. I hadn’t come across these Spanish artists before, but I’d definitely recommend a visit. There are beautiful paintings and sculptures throughout the former church.

We spent around 40 minutes here. It’s easy for tourists to visit, with English signs, lockers for luggage, and very friendly staff. There are also a few sculptures alongside a good collection of paintings. One of Murcia’s loveliest museums, and admission is free. We recommend it.

The receptionist was extremely helpful, and there’s a good range of artwork from different centuries. It’s free to enter and well worth a visit. Just check the hours first, since the gallery closes for a long lunch.
