Spa Aguas de los Mallos

The garden with its olive trees was lovely, and the staff were really friendly. We had good breakfast, and the restaurant was decent. The views were amazing, the spa was great, especially with nobody else there, and there was a heated outdoor pool too. It's close to mountain biking and hiking trails, and you can buy local products at reception. I had a perfect two-night stay. Totally recommend!

The food was very good overall, with a varied lunch and dinner menu and lovely views while you eat. Breakfast was a little simple, though the quality was very good. We also hired bicycles and rode around the nearby villages, stopping at wonderful viewpoints, and there's a river close by. A great area to explore by bike. Our room was cosy and very clean, with a huge shower, hair dryer, safe and TV. It opened directly onto the outdoor pool and bar area. The pool is kept at 28-29 degrees Celsius, which feels especially nice when it's cold outside. The spa has water jets, a hot stone passage, a jacuzzi, and both dry and Turkish saunas. The staff were super nice and helpful, and the place has incredible views. I 100% recommend it and we'll be back.

The location is why I'm giving it two stars. The hotel isn't well maintained, and the service doesn't feel good enough for a four-star place. We spoke Spanish, so they assumed we were from Spain and asked us for a DNI. They wouldn't accept a US driver's license. At one point the situation got bizarre and very uncomfortable for my partner and me.

The room and bathroom were both large, clean and nice looking. We had a good three-course dinner, though it wasn't excellent, and they were stingy about how many bottles of wine they brought to the table. The mountain setting has gorgeous views, with a beautiful outdoor pool and an indoor one in the spa. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful.
