Mar Hotels Playa de Muro Suites

Getting to the beach took about five minutes on foot, and there’s a bus stop 100m away with direct services to Alcudia, Palma and even the airport. Our suite at Mar Hotel Playa del Mar was roomy and comfortable, with two rooms and two bathrooms. Miriam from housekeeping kept it spotless every day. The buffet wasn’t gourmet, but there was lots of choice and we always found something tasty. All inclusive felt worth the price, with nice house wines and a pleasant surprise in the branded spirits. Staff were welcoming, and the entertainment team were fun and stopped to check in with us. We had a lovely stay and would happily come back.

The only little snag was the mosquitoes in the evening. I got about 10 bites in 10 minutes, so pack repellent. We spent 10 nights all inclusive in a junior swim-up room and loved it. It was cleaned thoroughly every day, and the whole hotel smelled amazing. Our package included Balinese beds, a lovely touch for relaxing by the pool. There was loads of food to choose from, including Mexican, Indian, Chinese and Mallorcan themed nights, and we never struggled to find something to eat or drink. The drinks selection was broad, and the cocktails were strong, not watered down. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is right in the centre, with local shops and restaurants nearby, and the beach about a five-minute walk away. We had an amazing stay and would definitely return.

The pool was clean, well cared for and deep, with enough loungers for guests. Having a private pool was the biggest plus. The terrace was swept daily and the Balinese beds were wiped down too. We had a memorable family holiday at Mar Hotels Playa de Muro Suites from August 20 to September 3, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place to relax. There’s a mini water park for children and quieter areas for older guests, so it suits different ages. Our apartment was clean and well equipped. Daily housekeeping paid attention to details: the floor was clean, towels were changed every day and toiletries replenished. The food was fresh, varied and tasty, with well-organized breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets and plenty for everyone to find something they liked. Staff were very friendly, helpful and always smiling. You could feel they cared about guests’ comfort.

The nearest beach was a great choice for kids, with shallow water, around 50cm deep some 5-10 meters from shore, and just a 5-10 minute walk away. This family-friendly hotel had a couple of pools for children, plus activities and entertainment throughout the day. Reception and service were great, and our room was exceptionally well maintained. The hotel has its own parking spaces, and there’s also free street parking nearby.
