The place was very clean and the staff were helpful, but barking dogs went on constantly until 11 p.m. Our room faced the bouncy castle park, so it wasn't very relaxing. The beds were uncomfortable, and although we paid extra for a balcony, I don't think you need one since every room seemed to have one. There was no bathroom door, which meant no privacy when using the toilet or shower. We booked self-catering, but the kitchen had no kettle, toaster, or food bowls.

The best part was breakfast, which was divine. We also loved the balcony and its view of NU mallorca, where we could watch the shows and parties with a glass of wine. The bed was fine, and otherwise we enjoyed our stay. We spent five days in Muro as a family of three and booked late in the season, when most places were taken. We needed an apartment with a kitchen so we could cook. The apartment did have one, but it was tiny, really only useful for making tea or putting together a sandwich. Worse, the cupboards and dishes smelled like they'd been sitting there since 1786, so we had to wash everything with boiling water. At the Sand bar, one woman was doing everything while 15 people waited in line.

The room was a good size. It wasn't newly renovated, but it was still fine. Service was good, and we liked the breakfast. There were children's activities on most days and different entertainment in the evenings. We visited in late May and had no trouble getting sunbeds. The hotel's right by a great beach, which made the location especially nice.

The hotel has a great position directly on Playa de Muro beach, but the condition of the property was terrible. The website's room photos don't match what we found. Furniture was worn and outdated, with a few new Ikea items added, including a tiny wardrobe that was useless for four people staying six days. The walls were in poor shape, and the old air conditioning either made the room too cold or didn't work. From the start, the bedroom switch clicked and stopped working. I reported it, but nobody came to fix it. The room cleaning team couldn't seem to properly clean such an old, worn building, and even fresh towels smelled dirty. The dining room felt like a bad company cafeteria. Food in Spain is excellent everywhere, but they cooked terribly here. I don't blame the kitchen staff. The fault lies with management, which provides low-quality ingredients and imposes tight schedules and inedible menus. Breakfast was the one good meal. Dinner ended at 9 p.m., and they started taking everything apart a few minutes before then. I was also concerned about security. The pool and bar area is open to people who aren't staying at the hotel, since anyone can use the bar. There's no way to check whether someone in that area is a guest, and from there they can go straight into the hotel corridors. I raised this with the front desk staff repeatedly and filled in the quality survey on my second day. As far as I could tell, nothing changed. I don't think the staff are the problem, but the property and management are. I stayed for six days with my husband and our daughters, who were nine and ten. I booked directly after seeing the room photos on the hotel's website, and was very disappointed.
