VIVA Blue & Spa

For our first family holiday abroad, Viva Blue was a great choice. We had a clean, beautifully put-together ground-floor room with a private pool. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful, and worked hard to keep things pleasant. The service was second to none. The location was probably as good as we could have hoped for, just a five-minute walk from a beautiful beach and local amenities. Ivan was lovely and amazing at reception, and Miguel was the same in the restaurant. It did get a little too busy with other guests, though it's hardly surprising given how popular it is. We loved it so much that my wife and I are thinking of coming back on our own next time, without the kids.

The food was the one disappointing part. We had breakfast at the hotel and went back for dinner a couple of times. You won't go hungry, but you won't enjoy it either. Maybe the quality suffers because there are so many guests in September. We stayed in September 2025 and enjoyed the hotel. Our second-floor room had a great terrace. There are lots of activities for children, and plenty for adults too. The rooms are a bit old, but they're fine. Parking was never a problem, with spaces always available behind the hotel, and the beach is close by. Special thanks to Carmen, a very pleasant young woman who was always ready to help us.

During our training camp, the hotel looked after us really well and even provided cottage cheese. The rooms were very spacious and clean, and the service was top-notch. Incredible hotel, highly recommended!

We loved this hotel, and our little one had a great time in the pools. The jumping pillow was a big hit, the mat in the pool to run along was brilliant, and the pirate ship was fun once the sun reached it in the afternoon. We heard plenty of laughter, and our daughter also loved the little park behind the ship. There were always sunbeds available. The hotel was beautiful and very clean, with faultless rooms, comfortable beds, and plenty of space. The kitchen was great for making lunch since we weren't all-inclusive. The wristbands were a real help on arrival: they held the room key and let us pay for things, saving the hassle of carrying money around. When we ate at the restaurant, the food was amazing, with lots of choice and a different theme each night. The rest of my family loved it. I did have two labeling mix-ups: the 'Mexican rice' contained meat, and so did the gyozas labeled vegetable. I'm vegetarian, but those were the only issues I had. In our opinion, this would be a five-star hotel. My one slight negative was the kids club staff. Our child was 3.5years, so we stayed with her for activities and were happy to do that as a break from the pool. But I felt the staff made no effort to speak to her. They could speak many languages, but seemed to put less effort into us as English people and were happy chatting to the Germans, of whom there were a lot. Luckily, our little one was too young to notice. We'd definitely consider returning, or trying one of the other Viva hotels.
