The rooms look nice at first, with good bathrooms and a great view. The beds are acceptable, though not the best for a hotel. After that, the good points stop. I blame the management more than the staff, though perhaps housekeeping doesn’t consider how the noise affects guests early in the morning. Around 6 to 7 o’clock, pilgrims start leaving, and you can hear their sticks and conversations as if they’re in the next room. They leave fairly quickly, but then housekeeping starts moving the beds. The metal frames squeal against the laminate floor, and I could hear it, along with the staff conversations, from every room on the ground floor. Who starts cleaning at 7.30 or 8am while guests are still asleep? I tried to ask the receptionist to speak to the manager. She seemed not to speak English, but the manager was right behind me. I introduced myself and asked if he wanted feedback, but he just stared at me as though he didn’t understand. I couldn’t explain and had to leave. Even albergues don’t start making noise around sleeping people. After many sleepless nights from snoring and similar things, I booked a hotel room hoping for one proper night’s sleep. This was the worst hotel choice and experience. The restaurant stays closed, though they do offer a breakfast menu for an extra charge. I do want to thank the one girl at reception who handled my reservation. She was very kind and smiled.

The location is fantastic, right on the beach in a quiet area, with restaurants and a supermarket just a few minutes’ walk away. Our group stayed here after finishing the Camino. The hotel was basic but clean, and the receptionist was lovely. She also worked as the barista and later as a waitress, and I can’t fault how helpful and friendly she was. The newly decorated bathroom was nice, though the water pressure was poor, and the room walls were paper thin. My main problem was the man I took to be the owner or manager. He was downright rude, unfriendly, and unhelpful, and made all of us feel unwelcome and like an inconvenience. The online checkout time was noon, but we were told to leave by 11am. We were also told to make no noise after 10pm. Even though we’d been given a code to get in later, the manager waited outside until one of our group returned, then warned them to be quiet and said they’d be watched on CCTV. It’s a shame, because this could have been a very different stay. I don’t usually leave a bad review unless I think people need to know what to expect, but I really felt I had to be honest. If all you want is a room for the night and you don’t care about comfort, a welcome, or anything fancy, this is your spot.

I stopped at this hotel across from the sea to ask about a room. I’d checked online first, and it had one of the best prices in town. The woman at reception was lovely, helped me check in, and gave me a room with two big windows facing the ocean. It was spacious and had a small bathtub. I liked the town, with its very sacred church and stones associated with the Virgin Mary, so I stayed an extra night. The gentleman kept me at the same price even though it was a Saturday. Both of them helped me work out my bus to Santiago and were very friendly. Breakfast came with fresh OJ, croissants, eggs, coffee, and an ocean view. Watching pilgrims arrive in town each day was an added bonus. I can’t recommend this place enough.

The staff were friendly and helpful, but the manager was rude. The room was basic and clean, though the bed was rock hard and the sheets worn and faded. Doors closing in other rooms made a lot of noise. There was no playing cards or having any fun, and the bar and seating area closed at 10pm.

Our room looked straight out over the beach, just across the road, with a little beach access nearby. It was spotless, and the staff were lovely, even printing our bus tickets for us. We only had coffee, not breakfast, so I can't speak to the food.
