Apartamento Solei

There were four of us, but the apartment had room for seven. It had everything we needed for a great stay in Baqueira and was well connected for all kinds of mountain activities. We had a fantastic time.

I’ve now stayed at this apartment complex twice, first in 2014 and then, by coincidence, 10 years later. Both visits were in summer, and we enjoyed a week here this time. The building has several apartments and a garage in the basement. Our apartment sleeps 2 to 4 people. It has one bedroom with two beds, a living-dining room with two single sofa beds, a TV, a full bathroom, and a kitchen with an electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and kitchenware. Bed linens, bath towels, and the final cleaning are included, though daily cleaning isn’t. There’s free Wi-Fi in the public areas. Outside peak season, reception is open 24 hours a day. Someone was on site in both the morning and afternoon and gave us the information we needed.

The reception staff were efficient, attentive, and friendly, though they’re only there for a few hours. There’s no cleaning service during the week, and they don’t change the sheets or towels either. It’s an old building, but the apartments have been renovated pretty well. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom is decent, there’s one full bedroom, and the sofas are comfortable enough to sleep on. Linen and bath towels are supplied for everyone. I’d recommend it for families with children. We think it’s well worth visiting in spring or summer, since the location makes it easy to explore lovely natural areas. For people who enjoy snow and skiing, I suppose it’s an ideal spot too.

The apartments are decent, but expensive for what you get. One receptionist stood out: a brunette with glasses and a grumpy look. I guess she gives the same talk to new arrivals every afternoon and is tired of it. Still, she should remember that some of us have driven for around 12 hours to get there and are tired too, but we make an effort to be friendly and pleasant.
