The staff and food were excellent, and the hotel even arranged a guided tour in the ski area. Every evening there were complimentary marshmallows to roast and mulled wine. There’s a free locker for skis and a place to dry your shoes, and the lift up to the piste is just 200m away. The hotel exceeded all my expectations. We’ll definitely be back!

The gondola is just a minute from the resort, which made getting around very easy. My kids also loved the playroom and went there every day after skiing. We stayed as a family at the end of March and had a fantastic time. The resort was clean and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. We’ll definitely come back.

The points issue was especially frustrating. I’d emailed beforehand about adding my Marriott Bonvoy points, but they were supposedly put in my brother’s account, even though he didn’t pay and doesn’t have a Marriott account. After several follow-ups, Marriott told me to contact Marriott USA. I sent all the receipts and documentation, and the points still haven’t been credited. The stay itself was very disappointing, and this simply isn’t a 5-star hotel. We booked two duplex rooms, and both bathrooms smelled persistently of sewage throughout our stay. I told the staff, but they never properly fixed it. The food was well below average, especially by Spanish standards. Decor and finishes felt outdated and unimpressive, far below 5-star expectations. The spa was filthy and clearly not maintained to the standard expected of a luxury property. I’d suggest staying next door. A very disappointing experience with Marriott Baqueira and Marriott overall.

The hotel staff were so warm and welcoming, making us feel special every day. They greeted us with champagne, gave the kids little treats, and sent them off with their own boxes of water and snacks. The rooms are updated, comfortable, and nice, and I loved the bathtub Jacuzzi. Being close to the ski lift is great, and renting skis and charging them to the room is really convenient. My only complaint is about the restaurants. They’re very expensive, the food is mediocre, and, as other reviews have said, the restaurant staff are unwelcoming and rude. We’ll definitely come back.
