The location worked really well for skiing, with a lift a short walk away and a handy hotel bus as well. Everyone on staff was so friendly and helpful, and made us feel welcome. We stayed at Hotel Chalet Bassibe for a week on a ski trip, with half board. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent, with enough choice for everyone in our group. I'd definitely come back.

The room was comfortable, and it was handy to have somewhere to leave our ski gear. Getting to parking was easy, and the breakfast was decent. Staff were friendly, and the bus to the lift was useful even though it was only about 150 meters away. The location is ideal for skiing. At peak season, though, the rates felt too high for a four-star hotel and not worth that much per night. We could hear the neighbors in the surrounding rooms, and the hotel couldn't provide an ironing board. I didn't try the spa or pool. The rooms could use an update.

The location is marvelous, but the service was so rude that I would give it zero stars if I could. We booked a room for two well in advance, yet when we arrived at 7 p.m. it was obvious nobody had checked that it was ready. The mini fridge never worked during our stay. We were given no more than two hand towels, with no body towels or shower mat. When we reported that the safe was broken, they brought another one that took up a lot of the little closet space, and left the broken safe there too. The manager didn't seem to understand the difference between towel sizes and never acknowledged why not having body towels was a problem. We were insulted for asking for basic hotel amenities. Don't book here.

Getting to the lifts and ski mountains was really easy. The restaurant was fantastic, especially the evening meals, and the service was warm and welcoming.
