For a couple of nights, this was an okay place and good value for a family on a budget. It was clean, the underground parking felt safe, and the staff were friendly and helpful. But it’s up in Nerja’s hills, so you really need a car to get into town, and the furnishings are very sparse. The kitchen was missing things I’d expect in a rental, like a coffee maker, dish towels, and soap, and the only pots were a couple of very poor quality ones. There was no bathroom soap either, so bring what you need. The pool was closed, too. Fine for a short stay, though the name suggests more of a resort than it is. We were there in early June 2022.

The reception staff were very pleasant, and the hilly location wasn't a problem for us. We’d stay again, though the apartment could use a bit of TLC. There were ants in the kitchen, the sofa needed a proper vacuum and clean, and several surfaces, including freezer drawers and cupboard doors, needed wiping. The fridge and freezer had no handles, so opening them was awkward. There was no dish towel or washing-up detergent either. It’s the first apartment I’ve rented without those basics.

The resort facilities were okay for cleanliness and size, and the price was reasonable. Still, don’t expect hotel-level service. The staff didn’t properly show us which house was ours, so we spent 30 minutes waiting outside the wrong house and door at night before it was sorted out.

We only had one day here because it didn't fit our itinerary, though we wished we could have stayed longer. The apartments are lovely, with amazing ocean and mountain views, and are fully equipped and furnished for a comfortable stay.

The pool was closed even though it was sunny and 21 degrees, and the beach took a 30-minute walk downhill. The walk back up could be intense if you’re not fit. The location also made the balcony hard to enjoy: a sports field opposite had very bright lights at night, and many nearby balconies looked straight onto ours, so there was no privacy. There was no sun cover either. We chose the apartment partly because we wanted a bath, but the tub had no plug, so soaking wasn’t possible. The last two days we also had trouble with hot water and electricity. They couldn’t fix it over the weekend, which meant cold showers. We arrived late and the directions we’d been given by phone weren’t clear, so we had to search for the apartment in the middle of the night. The place smelled strongly of disinfectant, almost like a hospital, and felt bland and bare. They said the sheets would be changed on day four. I asked twice, but by the night of day five it still hadn’t happened, so I got fresh sheets and towels myself and changed them.
