Make absolutely sure you're covered for cancellation before booking with Stella Maris in Nerja. I had a major medical procedure two weeks before departure for cancer, which I'm still being treated for, so I had to cancel. We couldn't have travelled anyway because of the Covid outbreak, but I made the mistake of telling management about my situation. Even after I provided proof, they never replied. None of the €900 holiday cost was refunded, and I wouldn't count on getting a response from them. You can't have too much insurance with this group, including for the other services they offer. A great place to stay, with beach chairs available. It's quiet and safe, and the pool is nice.

I'm having trouble with the leasing agent, Starnerga, a Polish man who is one block from the property. He now wants cash even though I've already sent a wire. I'm due to arrive in November, so I hope for the best.

The room wasn't good. There were no clean towels, and the sheets hadn't been cleaned either. Don't use these.
